Skin and ear problems have many different causes – allergies, infections, parasites such as fleas and mites, or hormonal disorders. These issues can be difficult to treat and should be addressed promptly.
We can often diagnose a skin problem by simply examining your pet, but many require additional diagnostic procedures diagnose. Depending on your pet’s symptoms and exam, we often run skin or ear cytologies. Although sometimes blood work, skin scraping, or biopsies might be needed.
